1939 Ford “Coast To Coast” Roadster This is a totally custom-built car using the popular 1939 Ford DeLuxe convertible coupe styling as its base. Very few, if any, parts from an original 1939 Ford are utilized in this vehicle. In 1939 the original car like this custom was introduced as a completely re-styled vehicle from the previous year. It was distinguished by a vertical stainless-steel grille and clean front fenders with flush headlights. 1939 was the last year for the convertible 4-door sedan. Mechanical changes in ’39 included hydraulic brakes instead of mechanical and column-mounted, instead of floor-mounted, gearshift. Ford roadsters and convertibles of the 1930s have always been popular with car customizers mainly because of their sleek styling and strong chassis. Stock Number: C 97
