The customizer’s art reaches its full expression in this arresting 1949 Chevrolet convertible. A ground-up new build, it has been modernized with a show-quality 305 CI Chevrolet V-8, 700R overdrive transmission, 9-inch Ford rear end, 4-wheel 13-inch Wilwood power disc brakes, power steering, top and windows and Vintage heat and air. The Chevy’s gorgeous Candy Brandywine paint by Artistic extends to the custom engine bay, which uses 1935 Ford engine side covers for the inner fender wells, and is perfectly complemented by 18- and 20-inch American Racing wheels. The craftsmanship continues inside with Italian leather upholstery and German wool carpeting, a custom top and unique trunk-within-a-trunk by Dave Putnam.
