Each of these cars has been customized by Boyd Coddington, a man who changed the face of automobile customization. Through the kindness, generosity, and hard work of many, these automobiles were reunited and restored according to the precedent Boyd established during his career.

1950 Chevrolet Fastback 350 CI, Automatic
Part of The Boyd Tribute Collection

This Chevrolet Fleetline “Turtle Back” was originally custom built for Jamie Musselman in 1992 by “Hot Rods by Boyd”. This Sedan was then sold to Chuck Brown and later Bill O’Brien. When O’Brien purchased it in June of 2006, its paint job was in need of an update, so Bill contacted Boyd in 2007 to schedule a restoration job for the car. However, Boyd passed away unexpectedly in February 2008 before beginning the job, so O’Brien looked to Charley Hutton to finish the job. While the scope of the original project was simply to restore the paint job, Charley and Bill agreed to honor Boyd’s memory by updating the car according to Boyd’s style at the end of his career. Modification included moving the gas tank to the trunk, adding disk brakes to the rear wheels, and updating the interior to leather.
