1936 Ford Deluxe 4-Door “Trunkback” Touring Sedan

Model Year History Overview:
Model year 1936 saw only minor changes from the previous year but they were good ones.  The hood became longer and more pointed, and the grille was given a sharper V-shape.  Industry design practices dictated hiding some components previously visible, so horns now sat behind the “catwalk” grilles that followed the pattern of the main grille.  Though the spare tire could be mounted either inside or outside on sedans, external spares were still the rule.  This car is equipped with the optional integral trunk called the “Trunkback”, a styling feature that began in 1935.  1936 was the last year Ford would use the fabric roof insert in its sedans.
