2003 Mustang Mach I
2- Door Coupe

Model Year History Overview:
The Ford Mustang was the greatest single automotive success of the 60s.  It raised Ford sales volume by well over half a million cars, and set an all-time record for first year sales of any new model.  This remarkable accomplishment can be credited to Lee A. Iacocca, the engineer turned salesman, who worked his way from an obscure sales position to vice president/general manager of Ford Division in five years.  Iacocca’s idea was a new personal car, a young person’s car, inexpensive to build, yet peppy and sporty-looking.
The big news for Mustang fans for 2003 was their favorite car was utterly alone in the marketplace, a niche it had created 40 years earlier.  General Motors ended production of the Camaro and Firebird in 2002.  Also in 2003 Ford filled the gap between GT and the more expensive Cobra with a retro version of the popular 1969-70 “Mach I” featuring among other modifications a modernized “Shaker” air intake scoop that stood above the surface hood and fed air to a 305hp DOHC 4.6-liter V-8.
