Here come the "Baby Boomers". TV wasn't totally there yet although radio was. Entertainment was comprised of actually talking with your neighbors, joining a canasta or bridge club or staying home with the family. Smoking was in vogue and you could see that and drinking in just about every old black & white movie ever made. Charlie Chan was more popular than "Rosie the Riviter" as was Ellery Queen, roller skating, bowling, Lionel trains, Dick Tracy and Little Orphan Annie. Most phones had party-lines and there were no zip codes yet. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby joined forces in the early 40's and to watch them at a movie cost all of .30 cents.
